Greenleaf Technologies Corporation is an e-commerce security company, which provides advanced technology solutions and marketing alternatives for electronic and optical media.

Greenleaf develops and markets encryption hardware and software products to protect intellectual property from unauthorized access for the software and entertainment industries including: applications, games, movies and music. Greenleaf’s software security offers new ways to bundle and distribute digital content through satellite delivery, the Internet and on optical media [such as DVD-ROMs and CD-ROMs].

Greenleaf is currently developing a broadband acceleration entertainment component and network that will facilitate on-demand access of games, applications, movies and music as well as connectivity to the Internet for browsing and e-mail.

Its main product under development is Advocate which is a chip-based product that can monitor energy usage and use Bluetooth technology to transmit that information for energy buy/sell decisions. The company is currently looking for funding to complete the development of its product line.

The company is located in Austin [Texas].

The company, founded in 1986, has its shares traded on the OTC BB under the symbol: GLFC.

The company signed a Letter of Intent/Term Sheet in January 2001 to sell 51% of the outstanding stock of it and its subsidiary, Greenleaf Ventures, Inc., a Delaware Corporation, to J-Tex Corporation, a Nevada corporation for $34 million in cash, or the equivalent of $0.1754 per outstanding shares of Greenleaf.
