LG Expands Home Appliance Product Line
Korean consumer electronics and telecommunications company - LG Electronics, has unveiled its first range product offering in the U.S. The new LG Range completes the company's full-kitchen product portfolio, which now includes ranges, dishwashers, refrigerators and microwave ovens.
The new LG Range delivers superior cooking versatility and added convenience, making it easier than ever for consumers to achieve great cooking results. With a 5.6 cubic foot capacity, the LG Range offers one of the largest capacity ovens in the industry and provides the cooking space needed for large family dinners, entertaining and special events. Featuring a smooth finish and stylish design, the large-capacity oven still fits in the standard 30-inch space, so families do not have to make special modifications to fit this appliance into their kitchens. Multiple advanced performance features such as programmed favorite cooking modes and maximum versatility on the oven cook-top with 9-/12-inch expandable elements that allow for flexibility in cooking.

The LG Range comes in a variety of finishes including smooth white, smooth black and stainless steel, at a manufacturer's suggested retail prices ranging from $1,000 to $1,300. The Range is scheduled to be available in the fourth quarter of 2005.
Microsoft Unveils Living Room Hardware
Microsoft has unveiled two new hardware devices with features and sophisticated designs that will make accessing PC entertainment more enjoyable. The devices are an expression of Microsoft's continuing commitment to enhancing consumers' digital experiences anywhere.
Microsoft Hardware has developed the first three-in-one control center for a Windows XP-based Media Center PC with remote, keyboard and mouse capabilities in one sleek device, designed exclusively for the living room. For digital camera owners, Microsoft will also introduce a mouse, keyboard and digital image software suite for everyday use that turns any desktop into a virtual darkroom.
New Microsoft Remote Keyboard for Windows XP Media Center Edition enables greater interaction and control of a Media Center PC compared with a regular remote. This three-in-one device, the first of its kind, makes it easy to turn up the volume, type a message, or point and click with the fully integrated remote, keyboard and mouse capabilities -- all without ever having to leave the couch.
