SMART LLC [formerly Smart Corporation]
SMART LLC is a consumer electronics company specializing in developing, designing and manufacturing integrated control products and technologies for the home automation and home networking market. Its primary focus in products based on the CEBus technology.
Its products include SmartOne [integrated control products], SMART [accessory products], SmartGear [do-it-yourself products] and Smart Enabled [OEM products]. As a result of its alliance with General Electric Company's Industrial Systems Division, its products are marketed under the GE-SMART brand.
The company is located in Las Cruces [New Mexico].
SMART LLC is a privately held company that was founded in December 1991 as Smart Interface Corporation. It changed its name to SMART LLC in January 2000.
[Editors' Note: The company announced a co-branding deal with GE's Industrial Systems division in January 2000 which is expected to lead to an equity investment in the company.
