SNET was a leading information, communications and entertainment company in Connecticut, offering a full range of wireline products including SNET All Distance service as well as wireless voice and data services, Internet access and cable TV.
SBC Communications and SNET shareholders have approved their merger and received state PUC approval in September 1998. It received FCC approval in 1999.
